i went to a discussion at a mosque about sajdah yesterday the only problem is i dont know what sajdah is so i didnt really get the discussion
can someone please explain

Assalamoelaikoem warahmatullahi wbarakatuh,

:salah:

Sajdah (The prostration).

which is derived from Sujoed means prostration (not the midical prostration, but the islamic prostration)

notice also Rak3a which is derived from the word Rokoe3

:salah:

There is also a surah in the Quraan. Surat As-sajdah (The Prostration). It's Surah 32.

It begins with:

المِ
تَنزِيلُ الْكِتَابِ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهِ مِن رَّبِّ الْعَالَمِينَِ
أَمْ يَقُولُونَ افْتَرَاهُ بَلْ هُوَ الْحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّكَ لِتُنذِرَ قَوْمًا مَّا أَتَاهُم مِّن نَّذِيرٍ مِّن قَبْلِكَ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَهْتَدُونَِ
