Salaam,

When it comes to repentance I've never seen anyone (scholar or nonscholar) claim that any sin is beyond the forgiveness of Allah swt. Nothing is beyond his majestic scope. If the woman is al-kitaab then there are no rules stating you cannot marry her.

On a more practical note though, has she been through counseling? Women who've been prostitutes become them usually do an extremely disturbed childhood, sexual assault and/or abuse. So she will need some cognitive therapy to heal whatever lead her to believe she has no value in her body. She also needs to have blood tests for STDs and a pap smear for cervical cancer.

Brother, it speaks highly of anyone willing to look past someone's mistakes and make excuses for them, mashallah.

Besm Allah,
Assalamou Alikom Wrahmatou Allah,

The repentence door is wide open til the judgement day.
Then it is clear that a prostitue can repent and even it is permitted to a muslim to marry her.
She have just to wait for her period to be sure that she is not pregnant.

isn't islam too great !?!

Brother,

Every chapter of the holy Koran starts with:

In the name of Allah most Compassionate and Merciful.

Your question is already answered by that alone.

Be blessed.

Assalamo alikom wa rahmato Allah wa barakato

Anyone can repent and start a new life. Allah taala is The most Merciful. So obviously you can marry her after doing so. I'm not a scholar, but I think this is more common sense.

I would just like to add to Sarah's comment - Diane Sawyer did a big in-depth research project-type show about prostitution and she brought up the statistic that about 90% of prostitutes were sexually abused or raped as children. No wonder they do not have respect for their bodies - they were never given the chance to. Personally, I pity the majority of women who sell their bodies (by choice or by force) - they do not have the love and respect for themselves, so they do not expect anyone else to give it to them either.
