few months ago i meet a girl in a cooking class(lol that's dose nt mean m good in cooking) where they conducted a singing competition just for time pass... she sing a gazal (sort of sonnet) her voice was very nice and she was sitting next to me i said her that you got a beautiful voice you should learn tajweed ... beautify your voice with Quran.. i told her story of my tajweed teacher (that was almost the same,, someone sugested her to learn tajweed during a song compitition and she fallowed that up now she is teaching almost 300 to 400 students every year) she got so inspired ,,,, in the next class she came up with a naat... m really happy for her... and she is learning tajweed as well...:ma::ma::ma:
few days earlier she called me,,, she said that i want to do hijab but i have breathing problem... i told her to learn Quran with translation...its importent to learn the quran first... now question is did guide her right or i should convince her for hijab???????????
i want to guide her in right way coz she is a very good girl... n now she is on my top target so don't wana make blunders.....lol

Salaam,

I am not sure how a breathign problem has anything to do with hijab but I digress. Anyways, the hijab is mentioned in the Quran so the obligation of hijab is fardh. I agree that the importance is pretty much the same and that there is no reason she can't do both simultaneously.
