I hope knowledgeable brothers / sisters could provide the answer regarding the timing of those two nafil prayers. Someone told me isyraq prayer is 28 minutes after sunrise and dhuha prayer after that 28 minutes till dhuhr. Of course he could not provide authentic reference on that statement. I hope somebody could clarify about the timing and number of rakaat, based on authentic source.

below is Something extra :)

Timing of fajr prayer
If the calender table indicates 4:45 a.m. as Ishraq till what time can Fajr be prayed?
Thank you

answer

If what is published in the calendar conforms to what is actually observed in reality, then the answer to your question is what was narrated by Abu Huraira in the hadith of the Prophet (peace be upon him): "Whoever catches a raka'a of the morning prayer before the sun rises has caught the prayer" (i.e. on time) (Bukhari).

It must be noted, however, that praying the five daily congregational prayers in the mosque is wajib (compulsory) for men.

:salam2: Jazakallah khair for the replies. Then, is it correct to say that "the spear's length" is equivalent to 20 - 30 minutes immediately after sunrise ? and is it correct syurooq means time immediately after sunrise or is it the time after "the spear's length" as mentioned in hadeeth?
