In the name of Allah (swt) the most Merciful the Beneficent

I bear witness that there is no other god but the one true Allah and that Muhammad is his last and final messenger. We seek Allah’s forgiveness and all praise and thanks is to Allah (swt) alone. Whomever Allah (swt) guides none can misguide and whomever Allah (swt) leaves astray none can guide. May Allah (swt) have mercy and guide us all, ameen.

QUR'AN, FOR PEOPLE WHO THINK

My dear brothers and sisters, let me ask you some questions; you have the Quran at home, but how many times do you read it?

How many times did you do a dua or recited Al Fatiha as for guidance before reading the Quran?

How much did you understood from what you’ve read, and did you reflect upon the words of Allah (swt) after reading each verse?

Allah (swt) said in the Quran my dear brothers and sisters:

Thus Allâh makes clear His Ayât (Revelations, signs, laws e.t.c.) to you, in order that you may understand.

(Quran Surah Baqara 2:242)

The Quran is made in such way that the reader may understand the Quran, the Quran explains all.

“He (Allah) taught man what man did not know”. (Quran Surah 96 A: 5)

Allah (swt) teaches us in the Quran what we did not know.

“This is how We explain Our revelations in various ways” (The Holly Qur’an 6:105)

Allah (swt) explains to us His book the Quran in different ways…

"It is such that We clarify the revelations to a people who think." (The Holly Qur’an 10:24)

So that only the people with intelligence, those who THINK deep can understand the Quran…

"...except the one who comes to Allah with a pure heart." (The Holly Quran 26-89)

And those who seek guidance with a pure heart.

"We have sent down the Book(this Quran) to you making all things clear and as guidance and mercy and good news for the Muslims" (Surat an-Nahl: 89).

People who read the Quran with pure intention and open mind can understand the Quran clearly, that’s how Allah (swt) guides people to Islam, and this is when a truthful person becomes a true Muslim.

"And verily, this is My Straight Path, so follow it. And do not follow the other paths for they will separate you from His path." {Quran Surah Al-Ana'aam: 153]

This Islam is the straight path, Quran is the way to understanding God’s will , Quran is the straight path.

"This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion". (Soorah Al-Maa'idah 5:3)

Islam is the religion that God perfected and completed for us, and it is our duty to follow this wish of Allah (swt).

And follow not (O man i.e., say not, or do not or witness not) that of which you have no knowledge. Verily! The hearing, and the sight, and the heart, of each of those one will be questioned (by Allâh). (Quran Surah ISra 17:36)

Do not follow things blindly nor other paths from Islam and people who are astray. People who are away from Islam are misguided. Allah (swt) let them to be in that state because their heart is sick, they’re proud and only want to mock, so their mind is also closed and are unable to understand the Quran, but they don’t realize that they are mocking and misguiding their own self’s.

“The words of your Lord are complete in its truth and justice. Nothing can change His words – He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing. If you obeyed most of those on earth, they would lead you away from the path of Allah. They follow nothing but speculation – they are merely guessing.” (The Holly Qur’an 6:115-116)

Nothing can change the Quran and its meaning, the words of Allah (swt) are the complete truth, so do not obey those who are against the truth of Allah (swt), if you follow most of those people you will be misguided, and you will see no helper in Judgment day other than Allah (swt), none can help you on that day, so beware and focus on the Quran. Beware of false teachings, beware of fabricated hadiths, beware of the evil hypocrites who fight against Islam and beware of the false “Islamic scholars” who go against the logic of the Quran and the most authentic Sunnah.

Your duty is to think when reading the Quran!

Allah swt gave you the Quran so that you can be in the straight path, so that you can think and reflect upon God’s words, but how will you know if you never use your brain, how if you just recite it or keep it in the room just so that it can beautify your room? You must understand, you are the best creation that Allah (swt) made, you are not like the angels who just follow and obey, but you obey and follow after using your intellect to understand why and your free will. Your brain and free will is what will be against you the most in judgment day if you don’t use them properly. By this I mean you have the potential, the ability to know the truth by reflecting deeply with your intellect when reading the Quran. Allah (swt) intentionally said some things so that you may understand them only using wisdom. Muhammad saws can not answer you everything, and we don’t have every single hadith that he said. So it is your duty to learn the Quran and teach its wisdom to others after.

Muhammad saws said:

"The seeking of knowledge is obligatory for every Muslim." - Al-Tirmidhi, Hadith 74

"Envy is permitted only in two cases: A man whom Allah gives wealth, and he disposes of it rightfully, and a man to whom Allah gives knowledge which he applies and teaches it.''
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

"He who calls others to follow the Right Guidance will have a reward equal to the reward of those who follow him, without their reward being diminished in any respect on that account.''
[Muslim].

"He who does not acquire knowledge with the sole intention of seeking the Pleasure of Allah but for worldly gain, will not smell the fragrance of Jannah on the Day of Resurrection.''
[Abu Dawud]

And Allah (swt) says:

"Say [unto them, O Muhammad]: Are those who know equal to those who know not? But only men of understanding will pay heed" (The Holly Quran 39: 9)

"And say: `My Rubb! Increase me in knowledge.'' (The Holly Quran 20:114)

"Allah will exalt in degree those of you who believe, and those who have been granted knowledge.'' (The Holly Quran 58:11)

"It is only those who have knowledge among His slaves that fear Allah.'' (The Holly Quran 35:28)

Remember always, that knowledge is power and only people with knowledge and pure heart can understand the Quran and teach it in the best way. May Allah swt bless us, guide us and always protect us against evil and misguidance ameen.

He granteth wisdom to whom He pleaseth; and he to whom wisdom is granted receiveth indeed a benefit overflowing; but none will grasp the Message but men of understanding. (The Holly Quran al-Baqarah: 269)

"O my Lord! bestow wisdom on me, and join me with the righteous;" (The Holly Quran ash-Shu`ara': 83)

Salaam aleykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu my dear brothers and sisters!

Al' Istiqaamah - Steadfastness in Islam

Audhubillahi minash shaytani rajim

Bismillahir rahmanir rahim

Allah swt says in the Holly Quran :

In the case of those who say "Our Lord is Allah", and further, stand straight and steadfast, the angels descend on them (from time to time): "Fear ye not!" (they suggest) "Nor grieve! but receive the Glad Tidings of the Garden (of Bliss), the which ye were promised!"We are your protectors in this life and in the Hereafter: therein shall ye have all that your souls shall desire; therein shall ye have all that ye ask for! "A hospitable gift from One Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful!" (The Holly Quran 41:30-32)

My dear brothers and sisters, this is what Allah swt revealed to the Muslims during their hard time and suffering in Makkah. The Muslims were yet learning about Islam, Islam was something new to them. So Allah swt in this time was explaining to them the basic 5 pillars of Islam and that they should be steadfast in them. To hold tight to the 5 pillars of Islam as they would hold tight a rope, Allah swt says :

And hold fast, all together by the rope which Allah (stretches out for you), and be not divided among yourselves (The Holly Quran 3:103)

Allah swt was explaining to them this life and the hereafter. Allah swt says:

“This is how We explain Our revelations in various ways” (The Holly Qur’an 6:105)

There were many in that time who were losing faith because of the suffering they had from the pagans. Therefore Allah swt revealed the verses 30-32 in Surah Fussilat as a reminder and to bring comfort to the Muslims. We can take that as an example for us too, since Quran is for until Judgment day, not only for the Muslims during the time when it was revealed.

The meaning of the verse would be:

For those who say “Our Lord is Allah”, meaning those who acknowledge that everything in the heavens and earth worships Allah swt and only He is worthy of praise, that Allah has control over everything and that Allah swt is the one and only Creator of the heavens and earth, as Allah swt says:

Whatever is in the heavens and on earth let it declare the Praises and Glory of Allah: for He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise. To Him belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth; it is He Who gives life and Death; and He has Power over all things. (The Holly Quran 57:1-2)

So the true Muslims believe and obey Allah swt, Allah says:

The answer of the Believers when summoned to Allah and His Messenger in order that He may judge between them, is no other than this: they say "We hear and we obey": it is such as these that will attain felicity. It is such as obey Allah and His Messenger and fear Allah and do right, that will win (in the end).(The Holly Quran 24:51-52)

The Messenger (Muhammad Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) believes in what has been sent down to him from his Lord, and (so do) the believers. Each one believes in Allâh, His Angels, His Books, and His Messengers. They say, "We make no distinction between one another of His Messengers" - and they say, "We hear, and we obey. (We seek) Your Forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the return (of all)." (The Holly Qur'an 2:285)

Say (O Muslims), "We believe in Allâh and that which has been sent down to us and that which has been sent down to Ibrâhim (Abraham), Ismâ'il (Ishmael), Ishâque (Isaac), Ya'qûb (Jacob), and to Al-Asbât [the twelve sons of Ya'qûb (Jacob)], and that which has been given to Mûsa (Moses) and 'Iesa (Jesus), and that which has been given to the Prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we have submitted (in Islâm)." (The Noble Qur'an 2:136)

These are the true Muslims that believe and “stand straight and steadfast” to the path of Allah swt, they are strong in Iman and always follow up the knowledge that they gain of Islam with actions. They act upon the knowledge that Allah swt grants them unlike the hypocrites who say one thing and do another thing. Those who are steadfast are the true believers that do their best not to fail, and if they do than they repent and seek forgiveness from Allah swt, and they never repeat the same mistake. The steadfast in the religion of Allah swt are the ones that are satisfied with Allah swt as their Lord at all times (good and bad), they worship Allah swt and teach others the truth. They obey Allah swt and follow also the example of His messenger Muhammad saws. Muhammad saws said:

“How amazing is the affair of the believer. There is good for him in everything and that is for no one but the believer. If good times come his way, he expresses gratitude to Allah and that is good for him, and if hardship comes his way, he endures it patiently and that is better for him.”[Muslim]

"The example of a believer is that of a fresh tender plant; from whatever direction the wind comes, it bends it, but when the wind becomes quiet, it becomes straight again. Similarly, a believer is afflicted with calamities (but he remains patient till Allah removes his difficulties.) And an impious wicked person is like a pine tree which keeps hard and straight till Allah cuts (breaks) it down when He wishes."(Bukhari)

A true believer worships Allah swt truly with his soul, heart and body at all times, devoting his/her life for Allah swt only to gain His pleasure and hoping for a good reward (paradise) in the hereafter. At hard times, this is when the angels are sent by Allah swt to comfort the believers saying "Fear ye not! Nor grieve! but receive the Glad Tidings of the Garden (of Bliss), the which ye were promised!"We are your protectors in this life and in the Hereafter: therein shall ye have all that your souls shall desire; therein shall ye have all that ye ask for!”

It means Allah swt knows everything and is with us, He’ll never leave us alone, He sends angels to be our protectors and helpers in this life and hereafter, they help us to stay on the straight path, they help us to be steadfast in Islam, they help us in gaining patience, with the command of Allah, Allah swt says:

"Oh you who believe! Seek help with patient perseverance and prayer, for God is with those who patiently persevere."(The Holly Quran 2:153)

"And be steadfast in patience, for verily Allah will not suffer the reward of the righteous to perish."(The Holly Quran 11:115)

Than the final result of all that is Jannah, "A hospitable gift from One Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful!" , may Allah swt bless us all with Jannah ameen.

So my brothers and sisters, be steadfast in Islam, with knowledge, pure faith and actions, be the best you can as a Muslim for Allah swt, know that worship is in many ways, even a smile is charity and charity is worship of Allah swt, do not associate partners with Allah swt, Allah says:

Say: He is Allah, the One and Only! Allah, the Eternal, Absolute; He begetteth not nor is He begotten. And there is none like unto Him.(The Holly Quran 112:1-4)

Tawheed is the correct belief, know who Allah swt is, know His mercy and blessings that He bestowed upon you and know that a great reward (paradise) waits for you in the hereafter if you believe and stand strong and steadfast in the straight path of Allah swt. Never feel alone because Allah swt is with you, and seek forgiveness everyday because Muhammad saws said:

Allah is more pleased with the repentance of His servant when he turns penitently towards Him than one of you would be on finding the lost camel.(Bukhari)

If you were not to commit sins, Allah would have swept you out of existence and would have replaced you by another people who have committed sin, and then asked forgiveness from Allah, and He would have granted them pardon.(Bukhari)

And remember the most important 5 pillars of Islam, Muhammad saws said:

Islam is based on (the following) five (principles):

* To testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and Muhammad is Allah's Apostle.
* To offer the (compulsory congregational) prayers dutifully and perfectly.
* To pay Zakat (i.e. obligatory charity).
* To perform Hajj (i.e. Pilgrimage to Mecca).
* To observe fast during the month of Ramadan.(Bukhari)

Finally, take Islam as your religion and be steadfast in it, with strong faith and good deeds.

May Allah swt bless us and keep us strong on the straight path of Islam which will make us earn the Mercy of Allah swt. May Allah swt grant us paradise, Ameen.

And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers. (The Holy Qur'an 3: 85)

Salaam aleykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu.
