The Quran is that which is recited and when you have a copy of that which is recited it is called a mushaf. The understanding of the mushaf is important when one is learning recitation and orthography. This video begins by teaching orthography and then goes thru explanation of grammar and Arabic. The later part will not make full sense to people who don't know Arabic nahw and sarf, but he does explain the Quran ayat. This video is an extension of the Madina Arabic Books course. The person giving the lecture is Dr. Abdur Rahim himself, hifzaAllah the one who authored the texts used in Madina University Arabic language studies.
