Reception of Ramadan-ul-Mubarak By Mohammad Rafique Etesame The Holy Qura,n reveals, “O ye who believe! Salmān (R.A.) reports: ‘On the last day of Shaʿbān, the Messenger of Allah (upon him blessings and peace delivered a khutbah saying that, “O People, there comes upon you a great month, a most blessed month, in which there is a night greater than one thousand months. It is a month wherein fasting is obligatory, and offering tarāwīḥ is sunnah. Whoever tries to draw near to Allāh by performing the good deeds in this month, for him shall be the such reward as if he had performed a farḍ (obligatory) in other month of the year. And whoever performs a farḍ for him shall be the reward of seventy farḍ in any other month of the year. This is indeed the month of patience, and the reward for patience is Paradise; it is the month of sympathy and the month wherein the sustenance of believer is increased. Whoever feeds a believer in order to break his fasting, for him the forgiveness and salvation from Hellfire and for him shall be the same reward as for whom he fed. (Mishkat-ul-Masabeeh) Ramadan-ul-Mubarak is about to fall, we should receive it with full of religious enthusiasm and hoping that it may be the intercessor for us at the Day of Judgment, Ameen.
