Reflection on being Muslim.

Salaam,

I spent time reading the posts this week. I noticed there was a need for many brothers and sisters to have their faith reviatilized. I was quite struck by the desperation of many. It seemed that an ill-wind had blown into our lives.
I was pleased (poor word ) that this site is one where people are comfortable in seeking assistance. The respondents were so willing to help. This says a lot for the necessity of this site.
It also says we, Mulsims, are willing to come to each other before we seek help elsewhere. Although we do not know each other, we have made a connection with each other on the permise that we are Muslims first.
I pray Allah sends His mercy and blessings on all of us for the coming week. I pray we remain strong in our commitment to Islam.

This reminds me of these ahadith:

The Messenger of Allah (saw) also said, "The believers, in their love, mutual kindness, and close ties, are like one body; when any part complains, the whole body responds to it with wakefulness and fever." [Muslim]

and

"Every Muslim is a brother to a Muslim, neither wronging him nor allowing him to be wronged. And if anyone helps his brother in need, Allah will help him in his own need; and if anyone removes a calamity from [another] Muslim, Allah will remove from him some of the calamities of the Day of Resurrection; and if anyone shields [another] Muslim from disgrace, Allah will shield him from the disgrace on the Day of Resurrection." [Al-Bukhari and Muslim, on the authority of `Abd Allah ibn `Umar].

:hearts: :subhanallah: :hearts:

May Allah through His infinite Grace and Mercy help us help one another bring each other closer to Him. Ameen.

It's good that We/I, realize that our behaviour needs to be revitalized, but being muslims, we must never generalize the "They/You/He/She" need (s) to be revitalized... It only says that "We/I" are/am perfect... which is not true...
Hoping that we could just try and understand that...
A good imam is the one who listens and understands people's situation, and from there, he will be able to judge himself from within...
But, stop a killer and a thief, by all means...
Being Muslims, we strive on perfecting ourselves from within, and show good examples, and not pin-pointing...
But, I guess, I AM doing it too...
Only Allah Subhanahuwataala CAN judge us, what more such a subjective behavioural patterns... I used to say that Arabs have not shown good examples, while I'm not showing much sign as a good muslim and a father to my kids... So, I am as guilty as the next guy when it comes to negative impression...
Sorry...
