Repenting and commiting the same sin...Again!!?

Assalamualakum brother's and sister's

Well i was on the forum today and a brother put a thread saying he did something (inappropriate to say on this forum), and then repented, and then did the same sin again with great regret. Well his thread got moved to allah knows where :p .

Well looking from his thread it then came to me, He stated theres one part of the Duaa requirements which says basicly to Promise never to go back to that sin.

Questions:

1. What happens if you go back to the sin after repentence
2. Will your earlier Duaa Still be accepted
3. Are you still forgiven for the past times you did the sin?
4. What about a person who keeps sinning the same sin and then repenting, wouldnt this lead to no point saying he is forgiven for it?
5. What do you have to do after commiting the same sin again

These questions should help the brother and us too increasing our knowledge

Other then that....

I have another question, when you hear the Azan or call for prayer(not the Iqamah). Do you have to go pray right at that moment or can you pray a bit later like Isha Prayer, instead of at 9 can you just wait until 11 or is it a Must to pray at the call too prayer

Jazakallah Khairan

May allah protect us all

Assalamu alaykum my brother.
good post, I would also like to know the answer to all these questions :$.
I think that you do not have to PROMISE to Allah ta'ala that you will stop doing the sin. If that were the case then we would have to do the expiation if we repeat the sin which is a fast for 3 days or feeding 10 people.
For example if you say you will stop smoking ciggerattes and you keep doing this sin daily but you repent every time you smoke or after every prayer you repent. This is a good example of a sin that people frequently do, even a lot of muslims I see smoke.
anyways akhi's and ukhti's I would love to hear your response !
assalamu alaykum akhi Shamim

Well i have done some research on my own since im not getting these questions anwsered after about 40 views.

IslamQa states there are 3 conditions for repentence

1- You should give up the sin

2- You should regret having done it

3- You should resolve never to go back to it.

It says Man is weak and will always fall short. Therefore he must keep repenting.
[al-Baqarah 2:286 – interpretation of the meaning]

But man is weak and surrounded by enemies on all sides, and his own self urges him to do evil, and the Shaytaan flows through him like blood, and he lives in this world which is attractive to him… so how can he be safe from these enemies unless Allaah has mercy on him?

Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 834; Muslim, 2705.
However, Hell is surrounded with whims and desires, and Paradise is surrounded with difficulties. So each person must turn to Allaah and ask Him to help him to remember Him and be grateful to Him and to worship Him properly.

Finally we advise you to strive against your self which urges you to do evil, and to seek refuge with Allaah from its evil and the evil of the accursed Shaytaan.

To Answer my questions

1- Since during your repentence and asked for forgiveness, allah has forgiven you. It will be like a new sin.
2-Earlier Duaa was still accepted, but you must repent for that sin again as soon as possible
3-Yes, but remember when you repent you must really mean it and make struggle against it
4. Well if the person is doing it intentionally then the Duaa is invalid thinking he is forgiven because you must atleast try your hardest to stop. And Remember, Allah is watching
5. You must repent quickly for it and keep repenting in your Salah's
