I am curious....the book of Revelations put the fear of God and Hell in me growing up. How does the book of Revelations in the Bible compare to the end of man in Islam?

I remember thinking, How could GOD wish to burn all humans before he would ascend them to Heaven......why? This can't be a loving God. The book is terrifying. I now understand so much of it as symbolism but then I read it very literrally and truly thought large locusts would burst from under the ground and kill people.....needless to say every 7 years when the locusts would rise from their burrows, I thought is this the time in the book?

Personally I have never read the Revelation completely,It is really strange and Yes it can induce fear.I think its hard to understand,follow and comprehend.Only God knows what it actually means(meant).What does burn mean here?Is it physicall burning?Or burning with the desire to be free from sin/burn with guilt and shame or burn with Love towards The Creator?Who Knows?
