Seeking Allah's Love
Assalamualaikum warahmatullah wabarakatuh.

This is my first time posting a new thread here. I'm a muslim and trying to become a full-time practising muslim inshaallah. I enjoy reading everything here and I love this website very much.

I want to ask a question, hopefully it can bring a discussion here. But firstly let me say sorry for my bad english language.

I have joined an association of muslim students, the people in this group are working with each other in helping the muslim students community here, and the aim is to spread Islamic teaching and understanding to the students.

This group is composed of males and females.

Is it permissible for men and women to talk and do discussion with each other, like calling and chatting between male and female in order to finish a certain work for this kind of group?

I wonder why some female students here are keep telling me that they are feeling uncomfortable when working with males. Is this right or not?

I want to know how far is it permissible for muslim males and females to help each other for the sake of Allah.

Can someone tell me the concept of 'ekhtilaat' (i'm not sure this word in english) .

well sister as far as i know Islam Allah has mentioned in Surat AL mulk ;Allah has mentioned that''HE KNOWS WHAT IS IN THE BREASTS OF MEN AND WOMEN WHETHER YOU DISCLOSE IT, OR OPEN IT''. SO SISTER I THINK MALES AND FEMALES SHOULDN'T KEEP BAD INTENTIONS IN THEIR HEART AND SPEAK TO EACH OTHER IF ITS NECESSARY OR CONVEY SALAAM TO EACH OTHER IN A POLITE MANNER , U SHOULDN'T speak in way to attract or any bad intention sister, because you know dear its shayathans work

well , sister.. in this generation no one has good intentions .. well, ya your friends are quite right , they do feel uncomfortable because many of the males/femails have bad intention .. so, its better not to be touch with them (i mean; make any friendship with such guys whom you dont know)
