Sis, of course you can get married with someone you love or someone who is your soulmate :) But you need to have some limits in meeting him, only with mahram and trying to avoid evil as much as it's possible...:)

"Nor come near to adultery: for it is a shameful (deed) and an evil, opening the road (to other evils)." [17:32]

A lot of times you will hear people saying "in the Qura'an it says *do not commit zina (adultery/fornication)*"...but that is *incorrect*...from the verse quoted above...we can see that the Qura'an *warns of even committing *actions* which will essentially *lead* to zina*...because the humans may weaken in the face of emotions..desires..and temptations..*anything* that can lead them to *weaken*...is warned against!..and should not be committed like...

Having guy friends..and/or hanging out with them..talking to non-mahrams over the phone...or the internet (one on one!)...or worst...meet a guy..and/or date him...or like or love a guy...and express it to him...

If love is present between two young Muslims...then they cannot use it a justification for them to interact with each other...even if they intend to marry...they should not!!!...on the contrary...this intention itself may lead them to commit that which Allah forbade...so it's best that they stay away from each other...and work on getting *nikah* so it may at least be halal for them to talk each other and thus protect themselves from the evil of zina and such...

and the prophet (pbuh) had said...

"I have seen nothing more befitting/more liked for two people in love..than nikah"

So love *itself* is not forbidden in Islam...

The heart of man lays within the hand of Allah..He (swt) turns it around and about as He pleases...and love is instilled within humans by Allah through His wisdom in creation..so to deny this emotion or view it as an evil is not a matter a sound Muslim would commit...what we need to examine is how we go *about* love...how and to whom we express it..when we should and should not express it...why we feel it..and what we are supposed to do about it..is what is *restricted* and guided by the commandments of Allah and His Messenger (pbuh)...
