I feel that there may be a misunderstanding. I wish to clear this up. I am an advocate of seeking guidance on the Path. I believe in education. I revere those who spend thier lives so we can better serve Allah. I think greatly of our scholars.
They have keen intelligence. They tackle issues we dare not go near. And they wish to serve Allah.
When I discuss issues with many members it seems that I come across as anti-intellectual. No. I know that the scholars derived the answers by tortuous examination of the articles of faith and the Book of Faith. I believe this.
I am cautious, almost scared, to hold close to me anything that is not pleasing to Allah. Thus, if I am going to own something it has to be 100%. And I ask for proof. So I have the correct knowledge.
