Share : How is Ramadan in Your Mosque?

During the blessed month of Ramadan, mosques are filled with worshipers around the clock. A common scene is the mosque overcrowded with people who usually resort to the neighboring streets or buildings to join the Prayer.

In Ramadan, people go to mosques not only to pray but also to benefit from the services provided there.
For example, some mosques arrange for sessions on and competitions in tajweed (rules of Qur'anic recitation) and hold daily circles to enlighten Muslims about their religious and social duties. Added to these are the usual everyday activities of helping the poor and providing the needy with food.

Take a moment and tell us:

- What is the name of the mosque where you perform your Prayers? And Where is it located?

- Do you attend any cultural or religious gatherings at the mosque? If yes, how can you describe these events?

- How do you evaluate the role of mosques as cultural meeting points in your country?

Asalamu 3alaykum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu.
1- The Masjid i attend is called "Islamic Center of St.Cloud". It is located in St. Cloud, Minnesota, USA.
2- I attend Taraweeh prayers at the Masjid and am planning on attending Tahajjud prayers during the last ten days of Ramadan inshaAllah!!! These two events make my heart feel alive! It is such a heartfelting even to attend. If i miss a night of it, i feel as though my heart is wounded. but when i do attend, Alhamdulillah i see so many different faces, and so many people attend that i just feel like i'm gonna cry!:):):):):):):)
3- I think that Masjids in this country take a great role in providing cultural meetings at the Masjid or at least within the community. So many different ethinicities attend the Masjid here, and each year the number just keeps growing. we have newly reverted Muslims and others from afar. it is a great sight to see and enjoy. and really, most of the time we do not even need cultural meetings. they are rare because everyone loves each other and they are all open hearted. so Alhamdulillah.

Wasalamu alaykum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu.
