I am just about fed up with the local mosque my family attends. The mosque has been open for about five or six years now. I was there from its humble beginning and I remember the community doing alot of community work, we had speakers coming, lectures, classes, sister took care other sisters. It was great place to go. now five years later and I don't know know what happen. Well I do, we lost our Imam he moved overseas only to return two years later to be an Imam some place else. The community has basically died. I mean, I go mainly because I have some hope but I am getting fed up.

Second We have no Imam and have not had one in the past three years. Now there is a fatwa about Mosque that runs without an Imam is running under sin. Helllo, now to me, If I heard that and was in charge, I would be doing everything look for Imam, even a temporary one. We have sisters who want to get marry but can't because of no wali/Imam.

What also is making me red (angry) is that they have invested out money in this horrible, or at least in my opinion teacher, who is damn near wants to retired , I mean his classes are so dull, I feel are pointless. I mean I could go on for years about how suckey this Mosque is. Trust me I would I love to complain face to face but my sister representative,.....she likes never come. At least when we did have an Imam he had two wives, and one was always around and their emails and phones were open 24/7.

so what can I do. Is it okay Islamically to vent frustrations and suggestions by writing a letter.

As Salamu Alekum sister

Although not sure thar I completely understood what you are willing to do, but regarding your question; "Is it okay Islamically to vent frustrations and suggestions by writing a letter?" I'd say yes, it's (very) ok, it's even (mostahab) recommended to change the bad or the faulty situation with every possible mean.., even with direct confrontation. Didn't a woman come complaining to Rasulo Allah (Sa), with a massage from her and every single woman in the village to the prophet (sa)? Hasn't a woman faced Calipha Omar ibn Alkhattab (ra) in the mosque when he made a mistake? So, there's nothing wrong in calling for your (you and your fellow sisters in this mosque) rights, especially when it's critical for your iman (faith - and not imam :) ) and deen.

May Allah help you in this and give you strength to change it.

dear sister : imam is a job these days , but islamically , the best among who come to pray can do sallah , so it is nt sin as far as i know

beleive me , even in muslim countries not all mosques doing thier mission right,
in the two nearest msques to me imams keep saying the same (jumm'h khtubah) every while and then .

sending letters is one of the best ways for advise ,

dear sister i'm also gonna do the same thing for my mosque. they are completely totally disagreeing in everything. they are gonna buy a parking that is only 15 parking lots for 2,000 and some dollars. hello ramadan is near and they won't let us do youth lectures. like i said i think i'm being degraded due to age. i asked them sincerely but they refused. so i'm gonna write a letter. of course i won't print my name on it. just tell them i'm a concerned muslim. go for it sis! you're doing the same thing. by the way it's not the mosque that sucks, it's the people who are running it. remember that the mosque is baitullah.

Well, i think you should make one among you Imam who is best among you. This can be temporary measure until you have a proper imam who is well read in Islam.

In case no person is able to come regularly five times a day because he is out of place and couldnt reach masjid, then why dont you assign two three people to different salah times so that people can find a jamah.

You also write letters and do what ever is in your hand.

May Allah send this masjid imam soon....
Inshallah.
