As Salamu Alaykum,
I am trying to learn the contact prayers and reading all I can find on the internet. I thought you might find some of what I found on Salat, Salah, and Du'a interesting.
FAJR:
Hud
Establish worship at the two ends of the day and in some watches of the night. Lo! good deeds annul ill-deeds. This is reminder for the mindful. (114)
Al-Noor
O ye who believe! Let your slaves, and those of you who have not come to puberty, ask leave of you at three times (before they come into your presence): Before the prayer of dawn, and when ye lay aside your raiment for the heat of noon, and after the prayer of night. Three times of privacy for you. It is no sin for them or for you at other times, when some of you go round attendant upon others (if they come into your presence without leave). Thus Allah maketh clear the revelations for you. Allah is Knower, Wise. (58)
ZUHER:
Al-Isra
Establish worship at the going down of the sun until the dark of night, and (the recital of) the Qur'an at dawn. Lo! (the recital of) the Qur'an at dawn is ever witnessed. (78)
Al-Room
Unto Him be praise in the heavens and the earth! - and at the sun's decline and in the noonday. (18)
ASR:
Al-Baqara
Be guardians of your prayers, and of the midmost prayer, and stand up with devotion to Allah. (238)
MAGHRIB:
Hud

ISHA:

Al-Hajj
O ye who believe! Bow down and prostrate yourselves, and worship your Lord, and do good, that haply ye may prosper. (77)
Al-Waqia
Therefor (O Muhammad), praise the name of thy Lord, the Tremendous. (74)
Al-E-Imran
Then Zachariah prayed unto his Lord and said: My Lord! Bestow upon me of Thy bounty goodly offspring. Lo! Thou art the Hearer of Prayer. (38)
Al-E-Imran
Allah (Himself) is Witness that there is no God save Him. And the angels and the men of learning (too are witness). Maintaining His creation in justice, there is no God save Him the Almighty, the Wise. (18)
Az-Zumar
Allah coineth a similitude: A man in relation to whom are several part-owners, quarrelling, and a man belonging wholly to one man. Are the two equal in similitude? Praise be to Allah! But most of them know not. (29)
Mat 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
Jas 1:8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
Al-Hajj
And strive for Allah with the endeavour which is His right. He hath chosen you and hath not laid upon you in religion any hardship; the faith of your father Abraham (is yours). He hath named you Muslims of old time and in this (Scripture), that the messenger may be a witness against you, and that ye may be witnesses against mankind. So establish worship, pay the poor-due, and hold fast to Allah. He is your Protecting friend. A blessed Patron and a blessed Helper! (78)
I have to laugh when people say that five times a day is a lot to pray. For me, it is like going before royalty to be given permission to come before Allah. And, because we are weak and frail and don't know what is best for us, Moses (PBUH) advised Muhammad (Salla Allahu 'Alayhi Wa Sallem) to return to Allah and have the 50 prayers reduced to 5.
Insha Allah, I will eventually learn Al Quran, Salah, and Arabic. Minfudlak/Minfudlik remember me in your Du'a that I may be among those who hear "Peace be upon you, In you I am pleased." I can think of only one joy as great and that is that my loved ones are also among them that please Allah.
