i knw sometimes laughing is aloud but brother dont you feel He is mocking at his brothers in islam, i felt throught he was jus Making others laugh on others way of greeting:astag: what he is trying to proof,

It was great. No he is not mocking Muslims. He captured the way we live. We have diverse cultural backgrounds. It is important to note that he gave notice to the Latino's. This is a group that is flocking to Islam by the dozens. And we love our Lation brothers because they are soo cool. He encapsulated our ethinic makeup but reminded us of what it is truly to live in a society that is so terrified of us..over nothing.

As Salamu 'Alaykum,
I understand how it would seem offensive, and it would be if he only pointed at one group, but since he showed the cultural diversity and linguistic variation in our everyday lives and yet also showed that although we may not all pronounce As Salamu 'Alaykum exactly the same way, we all greet each other with this greeting. Also, the most beneficial part of the videos is that he showed the stereotypes that others have of us.
I don't know Azhar Usman; however, I read that in addition to being a comic he is also a lawyer, political activist, and most importantly, Muslim. Also, it is my understanding that the bottle he is drinking from is either water or some other non-alcoholic drink. I suppose here in The West we tend to be a little less stoic in our demeanor. However, like Azhar said in an interview, if he can get you laughing at him through self-deprecating humor and than gradually hold up a mirror, he can get others to laugh at themselves. Another expression of "white guys" in addition to "for crying out loud" and "keep your pants on" is "if I don't laugh, I'll cry." I look "white"; however, my biological father (I was adopted by an uncle and aunt and never met my biological father) is said to have been Native American (a term which I don't like because anyone born in America is a Native American.) Consequently, I laughed just as hard at the white guy stereotype as I did at all the others.
Long way of saying, yes and no. The sister's say things so much better and succinctly than I do.
I guess what I am trying to say is that it is hard to hate us if you get to know us and laugh with us. Since declaring to my neighbors that I am a Muslim, many now actually turn their backs to avoid having to say hello. It is so sad to see grown people acting like children. Children have a clique mentality and, consequently, suffer from the us and them syndrome. We love all of humanity because The Prophet (Salla Allahu 'Alayhi Wa Sallem) showed us this. Yesterday, the teacher at the Mosque told how The Prophet (Salla Allahu 'Alayhi Wa Sallem) carried an elderly woman's burden while she derailed against this man she had heard about who was telling people to stop their polytheistic idolatry. When she realized who he (Salla Allahu 'Alayhi Wa Sallem) was and recognized his (SAW) high character, she became Muslim herself.
