Hi Sisters & Brother,

Hope everyone is well on reading this inshallah.

I recently moved over to Spain from the UK, though I would let you know about the great existance of a muslim comunity here.

Is anyone living out here, I would love to talk and share thoughts with you.

Being southern Spain and and so close to Morocco there is a large presence of musims here, there is 3 great Mosques to visit.

Converting and moving out here scared me as I thought there would be no help but being here has just proved to me how Islam can touch all countries, when I wear my Hijab when I am not in work I do get looked at but I think that is because im looking different to the spanish and its not so common as back in the UK but the Spanish seem to accept this ok and let us practise with no harm. Hamdullah

Please share your thoughts and any questions you have and I will come back to you inshallah :SMILY209::SMILY47:

Assalamu alaikum sister!

Alhamdulellah that you feel comfortable in your new environment.
Muslim sisters like yourself carry a great symbol of Islam and submission to the will of Allah which acts like a flag of a nation who are recognised by it.

And that symbol and flag is the hijab. It is not easy as it takes a great courage and with it comes responsibility.

You sisters are the true Da'ees of Islam. May Allah s.w.t bless you all for your struggles. Ameen

Keep us informed about our muslim brothes and sisters in Spain.

Wassalam

One of my brother's (in Islaam) father is a Spanish Catholic. We were talking a couple of weeks ago and he was telling me how North African Muslims gather in Spain (from other parts of Europe) to celebrate `Eid in Morocco (the two countries are closer than France and England). Maa shaa Allaah, Spain (or Al-Andalusia) has a rich Islamic heritage. Seeing the landscape and reading books on the matter creates a nice image of what the Muslims achieved there (prior to letting life of the dunya take over them).
