Sponser an Orphan Insha'Allah

Bismillah Ar-Rahman Ar-Rahim

Salaams brothers and sisters

http://www.alyateem.com/_en/

Above is a link to Islamic Relief's Sponser An Orphan project. There are currently over 1000 children who would benefit from sponsership insha'allah and thats just the ones Islamic Relief know about and have registered.

Here is also the same project through Muslim Hands:

http://www.muslimhands.org/Site/Pages/OurWork/SponsorshipSchemes/OrphanSponsorship

If you can spare some money insha'allah then this is an excellent investment with so much reward and so much benefits....it is from as little as £23 a month (Islamic Relief).....save some money from those January Sales and give it to a child who needs it please....with the consumeristic society of the West and the fortunate position most of us are in financially alhamdulillah, it is easy to forget how some of our children live.

Please visit one of the sites and have a look.

"And they feed, for the love of Allah, the poor, the orphan, and the captive..." [Soorah al-Insaan, 8]

A man once came to the Messenger of Allah, sallallaahu`alaihiwasallam, and complained that he feels hardness in his heart. The Messenger of Allah said, what translated means, "Would you like that your heart becomes soft and that you acquire what you need? Be merciful with the orphan, pat his head and feed him from what you eat. This will soften your heart, and enable you to get what you need." [At-Tabaraanee & As-Silsilah as-Saheehah]

"I and the caretaker of the orphan will enter Paradise together like this, raising (by way of illustration) his forefinger and middle finger jointly, leaving no space in between." [Saheeh al-Bukhaari]

“And whatsoever you spend of anything (in the cause of Allaah), He will replace it. He is the Best of those who grants sustenance.” [Soorah Saba‘ 34:39]

"Whoever removes a worldly grief from a believer, Allah will remove from him one of the griefs of the Day of Judgment" [Saheeh Muslim]

Jazak'allah khair....may Allah swt insha'allah ease the suffering of the Ummah and make those of us fortunate forever grateful for what we have, alhamdulillah.

Wa alaykum Salam,

Everyone must do their best to make sure that the poor and needy are helped in any way that they can, and best if you do so in secret for Allah's sake :) to help these people.

And everyday should be a day we help people, likewise everyday for a Muslim is a mothers day, everyday for a Muslim is a fathers day and everyday we care for our children and our neighbours. We give to these people our kindness and fulfil our rights to them. Whether it be through our actions or by monetary means.

May Allah help us. Ameen.

Quran , Surah Al Baqarah 2: 261-267

261. The likeness of those who spend their wealth in the Way of Allâh, is as the likeness of a grain (of corn); it grows seven ears, and each ear has a hundred grains. Allâh gives manifold increase to whom He pleases. And Allâh is All-Sufficient for His creatures' needs, All-Knower.

262. Those who spend their wealth in the Cause of Allâh, and do not follow up their gifts with reminders of their generosity or with injury, their reward is with their Lord. On them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.

263. Kind words and forgiving of faults are better than Sadaqah (charity) followed by injury. And Allâh is Rich (Free of all wants) and He is Most-Forbearing.

264. O you who believe! Do not render in vain your Sadaqah (charity) by reminders of your generosity or by injury, like him who spends his wealth to be seen of men, and he does not believe in Allâh, nor in the Last Day. His likeness is the likeness of a smooth rock on which is a little dust; on it falls heavy rain which leaves it bare. They are not able to do anything with what they have earned. And Allâh does not guide the disbelieving people.

265. And the likeness of those who spend their wealth seeking Allâh's Pleasure while they in their ownselves are sure and certain that Allâh will reward them (for their spending in His Cause), is the likeness of a garden on a height; heavy rain falls on it and it doubles its yield of harvest. And if it does not receive heavy rain, light rain suffices it. And Allâh is All-Seer of (knows well) what you do.

266. Would any of you wish to have a garden with date-palms and vines, with rivers flowing underneath, and all kinds of fruits for him therein, while he is striken with old age, and his children are weak (not able to look after themselves), then it is struck with a fiery whirlwind, so that it is burnt? Thus does Allâh make clear His Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses) to you that you may give thought.

267. O you who believe! Spend of the good things which you have (legally) earned, and of that which We have produced from the earth for you, and do not aim at that which is bad to spend from it, (though) you would not accept it save if you close your eyes and tolerate therein. And know that Allâh is Rich (Free of all wants), and Worthy of all praise.

wasalam.

Salaams brother,

Indeed - I think I will remove the part about Eid from the title as you are right - that is not a reason to help if you can - it should be any day insha'allah.

Just wanted to draw attention to the importance of this in Islam and how some Muslim charities have made this easy for us by extending a link to those children who need it, alhamdulillah, may Allah swt reward them for their work in the name of Allah swt.

Allah says, "If you give alms openly, it is well, and if you hide it and give it to the poor, it is better for you" (Qur'an 2:271).

Abū Hurairah said on the authority of the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allāh be on him, (who said):

"There is a man who gives a charity and he conceals it so much so that his
left hand does not know what his right hand spends." (Bukhari 24:11)
