Sports Car Vs. Quran

Salaamalikum here is a beautiful story I'd like to share with you all

Sports Car vs. Quran

A young man was getting ready to graduate college. For many months he had admired a beautiful sports car in a dealer's showroom, and knowing his father could well afford it, he told him that was all he wanted.

As Graduation Day approached, the young man waited signs that his father had purchased the car. Finally, on the morning of his graduation his father called him into his private study. His father told him how proud he was to have such a fine son, and told him how much he loved him. He handed his son a beautiful wrapped gift box.

Curious, but somewhat disappointed the young man opened the box and found a lovely, leather-bound Quran. Angrily, he raised his voice at his father and said "With all your money you give me a Quran?" and stormed out of the house, leaving the holy book.

Many years passed and the young man was very successful in business. He had a beautiful home and wonderful family, but realized his father was very old, and thought perhaps he should go to him. He had not seen him since that graduation day.

Before he could make arrangements, he received a telegram telling him his father had passed away, and willed all of his possessions to his son. He needed to come home immediately and take care things. When he arrived at his father's house, sudden sadness and regret filled his heart. He began to search his father's important papers and saw the still new Quran, just as he had left it years ago. With tears, he opened the Quran and began to turn the pages.

As he read those words, a car key dropped from an envelope taped behind the Quran. It had a tag with the dealer's name, the same dealer who had the sports car he had desired. On the tag was the date of his graduation, and the words...PAID IN FULL.

How many times do we miss ALLAH blessings because they are not packaged as we expected?

Can Relate to this

I was once in a masjid one jumah afternoon and the imam said a story about a little girl and her schooling. The story is as follows:

A little girl was very bright and intelligent. In fact in school, she would get all the grades that were expected of her. Her mother was very proud of her and told her day by day that she loves her and acknowledges the fact that she's doing very good in school. Although things seems quite cinderella, the girl starts to become startled and sad. One day she comes home from school and her mother questions the emotions on her face and she said that her friends had all the supplies and cool gadgets but she does not. The mother reassured that if she kept up with her studies that she would get the supplies surely as she already knew that her family was not so wealthy. One day an Imam (the same one who told this story) was raising money for the general poor and hungry. One day he recieved a phone call from an unanomious person explaining that she needs help explaining to her daughter about shortages and patience during the tough times. The Imam went and met with the little girl and asked her 'if you could wish for anything, what would you wish for?' and the poor little girl replied ' I wish i can just have a 1000 dollars to buy the stuff i need' The imam consulted her mother and gave her money to buy the young girl school supplies. Later on, the mother takes her daughter out to the near by supply store for school-related materials and general needs for females. As the mother was done shopping for her daughter, she walks up to the register to pay for the items, and all of a sudden, an alarm sounds... ' The mother and her daughter raise their hands in fear of them being in trouble and told the cashier to check whatever they needed to' the cashier sincerely replied ' no mam, the alarm rang because you are our 1000th customer, and for that, you recieve a 1000 dollars. See the blessings of allah, what blessings can come about if you donate and give to those who need it.
