staying ILLEGAL isit haram ?

:salam2: brothers and sisters hope your in good health and imaan, ameen.

just wanted to ask behalf of a brother who is studying law at the moment.he was asking me that isit haram if a muslim comes to a country and is illegal.for example his visa expires etc but he stayes on oviesly its illegal, but islamicly isit haram ? i think it is becouse heard our prophet (pbuh) said if we enter another land we should obey its laws right ? so wat about those thousands of muslims who are not suposed to live in some countries, are they doing sins ?

assalam aleikum,

This might be a question to ask a sheik,

see the truth is the truth, and man is man, we learn the truth, then we adhere to that, and never should we make exceptions because of man.

of course there are better men than others, they understand Allah's way through hard work and perseverance with the blessing of Allah. They are better fit to help us understand the truth, in sha Allah. These are our known scholars, they should be able to help us in making decisions on current issues, Allah willing.

there are muslims selling alcohol, in the USA, this should be enough to realize that what people do, has nothing to do with following the truth. This is even worst than what you have asked. But we ask Allah to guide all of us to the straight path.
