stealing to return someone's stolen property back to them ?

I cba to type more than this, so plz forgive me.

friend(1) stole my other friend(2)'s book because he lost his, then he scribbled friend 2's name off and wrote his name.

I told friend 2 that i know where his book is, but wont say who did it (dont want fitna etc) so i said i will get it back to him.

I decided to return his book by stealing it from friend 1, is this haram?

I know friend 1 wont return it by himself because he is just a selfish *BEEP*. I don't like him much anyway.

Ummmm- :lol: how you say it is funny... I'm a bit stuck though.

The first best way is to try and persude friend 1 to give it back, if that doesn't work- I guess you could get it back- I don't think it would be called "stealing".
But I think you should tell your other friend 2 and go confront him CALMLY and maybe share or something...

Other members PLEASE help- because my ideas will someday get someone injured :lol:
