Strange Occurrence

Asalum Alaikum Everyone,

While posting on the thread about the excellent E-book that was made available, I noticed that all my Islamic Bookmarks have been removed (which was all of my bookmarks with the exception of Amazon.) In fact since Amazon is also missing, it looks like I have have a new browser installed in place of my old one.

Could this be a hacker or is it more likely that one of my security programs erased my bookmarks?

I only am posting this because I was wondering if anyone else has had this happen. I had all my reading lined up and now I guess I'll have to search for them again. If this is the worst that happens to me, I am truly blessed as I most certainly am.

Ayman, Shokram for the advice. I have Spybot and Malwarebyte on my computer; so, I will run both of them in Safe Mode. I also have Identity Patrol and Registry Patrol; however, Identity Patrol recognizes itself as Adware and when you remove the infections, it removes some of its' own files which then has to be reinstalled. My antivirus program is excellent at alerting me to virus attacks and blocking them. Sill, occasionally, one does get by the security.

I appreciate you taking the time to reply and the e-book is well worth the trouble of removing a virus.

Asalum Alaikum Everyone,

I discovered the problem. Apparently, Mozilla stores its' bookmarks and history in the same file and when you erase your history, you erase your bookmarks.
So, I have to change the settings on my security to not erase my history on the scheduled clean-up.

I am having a good week. My Islamic books are starting to arrive. I am learning both Arabic and Islam step by step and precept by precept. Hopefully, I will have the time to stop by the Islamic Society, Insha Allah,

I have accepted that La ilaha illa Allah; consequently, I am on the path to Islam.
