In April 1997, there was a "gas out" conducted nationwide in protest of gas prices. Gasoline prices dropped 30 cents a gallon overnight.

On May 15th 2007, all Internet users are to not go to a gas station in protest of high gas prices. Gas is now over $3.00 a gallon in most places.

There are 73,000,000+ American members currently on the Internet network, and the average car takes about 30 to 50 dollars to fill up. If all users did not go to the pump on May 15th, it would take $2,292,000,000.00 (that's almost 3 BILLION) out of the oil company's pockets for just one day, so please do not go to the gas station on May 15th and lets try
to put a dent in the Middle Eastern oil industry for at least one day.

You can fill out ur car a day before this way you wont need it on May15th I think that what they trying to do we dont have to wait till 15 May to fill up lol

Count me in . I will fill my car the day before. In America, the rubber lobby, the concrete lobby, the auto industry, the auto insurance companies lie in the same bed as the gas robbers...
Why transport the public when you can make money by forcing people to drive..and then let's sell SUV's so they can suck up more gas. Why people need a SUV to go to the grocery store is still flatuance in my brain. Forgive me...but we can stop this nonsense...everybody stay home one day and turn the tv off.

doesn't this just mean that more people will buy gas on the 14th and the 16th?

I would love nothing more than to hurt the bas companies financially but one day, I believe is insignificant.
