It was narrated from Abu Sa’eed al-Khduri that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever reads Soorat al-Kahf on Friday, he will be illuminated with light between the two Fridays.” Narrated by al-Haakim; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Targheeb, 836

:wasalam:

The above three are all accurate. The rest seem to be fabricated. And Allah knows best.

Someone had posted a wonderful pdf about Virtues of chapters of Quran by Shaykh Albaani rahimullah. I hope you can find it. I found this brief version on the net.

1 - 'al-Fatihah':

Ibn 'Abbas narrated:

"While Jibril was with the Messenger of Allah, he heard a noise from above. Jibril lifted his sight to the sky and said: "This is a door in the Heavens being opened, and it has never been opened before now." An Angel descended from that door and came to the Prophet and said: "Receive the glad tidings of two lights that you have been given, which no other Prophet before you was given: the Opening of the Book, and the last verses of 'al-Baqarah.' You will not read a letter of them except that you will gain its benefit.""

['Sahih at-Targhib wat-Tarhib'; # 1456]

2 - 'al-Baqarah':

"Whoever recites Ayat al-Kursi (verse # 255) after every obligatory prayer, then there is nothing between him and his entrance into Paradise except his death."

['Sahih al-Jami''; # 6464]

"Verily, Allah Wrote a Book one thousand years before He Created the Heavens and the Earth; from this Book descended the last two verses of 'al-Baqarah.' These verses are not recited for three nights in any home except that no devil can come near it."

['Sahih al-Jami''; # 1799]

3 - 'az-Zumar' and 'al-Isra'':

'A'ishah said:

"The Prophet would never sleep until he had recited 'az-Zumar' and 'Bani Isra'il' (i.e., 'al-Isra'')."

['as-Silsilah as-Sahihah'; # 641]

4 - The Glorifiers:

al-'Irbad bin Sariyah said:

"The Prophet would not sleep until he had recited 'al-Musabbihat' * (the Glorifiers), and he would say: "In them is a verse that is better than a thousand verses.""

['Sahih at-Tirmidhi'; # 2712]

*: 'al-Musabbihat' are those chapters that begin with "سبح" or "يسبح" and they are: 'al-Isra',' 'al-Hadid,' 'al-Hashr,' 'as-Saff,' 'al-Jumu'ah,' 'at-Taghabun,' and 'al-A'la.'

5 - 'al-Kahf':

"Whoever memorizes the first ten verses of 'al-Kahf,' then he will be protected from the trial of the Dajjal."

['as-Silsilah as-Sahihah'; # 582]

"Whoever recites 'al-Kahf' as it was revealed, he will have a light on the Day of Resurrection that will reach from wherever he is all the way to Makkah. And whoever recites the last ten verses of it, and the Dajjal emerges right after, then he will not be harmed by him. And nobody makes ablution, then says: 'Glory and praise be to You, O Allah; I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but You. I seek Your forgiveness and turn to You in repentance' [Subhanak Allahumma wa bi Hamdik; ashhadu an la ilaha illa Ant. Astaghfiruk wa atubu ilayk] except that it is written on a tablet and permanently transcribed on that tablet, and that tablet will not be broken or damaged until the Day of Resurrection."

['as-Silsilah as-Sahihah'; # 2651]

"Whoever recites 'al-Kahf' on the night before Friday, then a light will be lit for him between wherever he is and the Ka'bah."

['Sahih at-Targhib wat-Tarhib'; # 736]

6 - 'al-Mulk':

"There is a chapter in the Qur'an that is made up of thirty verses. It interceded for a man until he was forgiven all of his sins, and that chapter is 'Tabarak.'"

['Sahih at-Tirmidhi'; # 2315]

7 - 'al-Ikhlas':

"Whoever recites 'Qul Huwa Allahu Ahad' and completes it ten times, then Allah will build a palace for him in Paradise."

['as-Silsilah as-Sahihah'; # 589]

Jazkallah khairan akhi!!it's nice to have something confirmed.

Seeking Allah's Mercy

Qul HuwaAllahu Ahud!
Rasool Allah peace be upon him said, "Whoever recites Aayatul Kursi after every Fard (Fard Salat). Only death is keeping him/her from entering Jannah. (As soon as he/she dies, will enter Jannah)
(Nisa'i, Ibne Habban, Ibnelsani A'n Abi Amatah Albahili Radiallah Anhu)

It's in another Hadis that Reciting Ayatul Kursi after one Fard (Fard Salat) will stay in Allah's protection until the next Salat.
(Tibrani Fil Kabeer, A'n Alhasan Bin Ali Radiallah Anhu)

Imam Bihaqi States that the one who recites Ayatul Kursi before falling asleep, Allah Tala gives protection to his/her home and his/her Family.
(Marqat Sharah Mishkaat, Mulla Ali Qaderi, vol. 2 pp. 583)

It's in another Hadis Jinns and Shaitans do not come close to the house in which Ayatul Kursi is recited. (Tirmizi Altargheeb Wal Tarheeb Lilmanzari vol.2 pp.631)

Hadrat A'isha Radiallah Anha states that a person arrived in the court of Nabi kareem Sallal Laaho Alaihi Wasallam and complained that there is no Barkat (Blessings) in anything in his home. Rasool Allah peace be upon him said, "You do not recite Ayatul Kursi, whichever Food and Curry you will recite Ayatul Kursi on, Allah Tala will give Blessings on that Food and Curry. (Tafseer Dar Manshoor vol. 1 pp. 323)

so how authenic is the above???

YUP! hadeeth mentioned above by a brother

reciting ayal alkursi after every fardh.... your distance from jannah:your death!!

The hadeeth is; "There is nothing between you and jannah except for death"

recite it everynight:you won't die tht night!!

doubt the authenticity of this hadeeth

recite it at night once:you are protected by two guarding angels, twice:your house /family is protected, thrice:the whole community has the protection~~

Allaahu 'alam about protction for everybdy else, but the hadeeth of abu huraira says that he who recites it (ayatul qursee) in the morning, then he will be protected from shataan till evening, and he who recites it in th eevening will be protected from shaytaan till morning

and i know about surah mulks recitation at night!!so how true are these!!er spposing ther are other surah with special significance at specific times i'd like to know(provide referance plzz)

Recite soorah mulk every night and you are protected from the punishment of the grave...

jazakallah khairan!!

:wasalam:wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu

p.s, u said you want proof (which is very good) but also ask the people who told you this for proof as well... so that you dont get confused or whatever...

recite it everynight:you won't die tht night!!

Nothing ..nothing can prevent death reaching you at its appointed time

Instead of taking the sayings of people and then looking in the Qur'aan and Sunnah if they are authentic, why not go to the Qur'aan and sunnah first? That would save you a whole lot of hassle, because you could come accross literally trillions of statements like the ones you've posted, yet none of them could be authentic, so giving them your attention in the first place was futile.

Its more efficient to start with a source that is pretty much authentic in the first place, like one of the 6 books of Ahadeeth.
