Sweet and Sour Chicken
Ingredients:
Boneless chicken breast cut into pcs 220 g
Cornstarch, dissolved in water 4 tbsp
Salt 2 tbsp
Egg 1
Water 2 tbsp
Oil 1 tbsp
Oil for deep frying
For vegetables:
Spring onion, chopped 25 g
Red and green pepper cut into strips 35 g each
Ginger, finely chopped 15 g
Chopped garlic and fresh coriander 10 g each
Sweet and sour sauce 30 ml
Oil 2 tbsp
Preparation:
• Sprinkle salt over chicken and keep aside for 2-3 hours
• Drizzle a little water over the chicken and then smear half the cornstarch solution evenly.
• Refrigerate till dry
• Mix together egg, water and oil. Deep chicken pcs in the egg mixture then soak in remaining cornstarch
• Heat oil and deep fry, drain and keep aside
Vegetables:
• Heat oil in a wok and stir-fry vegetables, add sweet and sour sauce.
• Lastly add chicken to the wok and stir until all nuggets are coated with sauce and serve.
