As Salamu 'Alaykum,
One of the beautiful individuals here at Turn To Islam took me to the woodshed and corrected me. I apologize for any and all inappropriate breech of etiquette on my part recently. I was simply trying to maintain contact with many of you here without drawing attention to Turn To Islam by the wrong people because of my frustration with the intrusion by government into the religious life of Americans as a result of my recent political posting.
I come here to learn and perhaps share knowledge that I have previously learned. I will follow the advice given me and focus on Allah, Islam, Al Qur'aan, and Arabic. And let the politic for other sites.
I had a friend whose website receives over a million hits a month. If I wanted to increase traffic at my blog that would have been a better avenue; however, I can see how it appeared that I was trying to get people to come to my blog. That honestly wasn't the case and any remarks that I made to that effect were in jest. I guess if we act foolishly, we are perceived as a fool. So, I do apologize.
Each of you in your own way have brought me to Islam. As I am having difficulty connecting physically with the local Islamic Center, I hope you will allow me to learn here and as always correct me when I fail to glorify our Rubb.
I have the highest regard for Yusuf Estes and many others who spend their life doing Da'.wa
Over the years, I have had an infant son die. My mother received 2nd and 3rd degree burns over 75 percent of her body by a defective product. I lost a business and much money because of the betrayal of friends. The last five years of my fathers life he had dementia and we had to watch him slip from us. My son had a serious motor cycle accident that left him with 38 fractures (he was a martial arts champion, but even though he recovered from the accident and is riding Harleys again, he has much pain. I am physically challenged because of spinal and lung injuries. And, compared to my wife, I have had an easy life. So, sometime I get under stress. What gives me comfort is knowing that all things work together for Good to those who love Allah and are called according to His purpose. The Muslim(ah), when asked how they are, replies Alhamdulillah because we know that Allah is in total control.
I sincerely apologize for any drama or inflated egotistical remarks that I may have made. Often when one loses the abilities that one once had, they over-compensate with those that are still viable. That is what I have been doing unconsciously.
I thank the individual who rebuked me in a stern but loving manner and I hope you can look past my faults and that I am still welcome. I also have come under conviction about answering questions without proper knowledge. That is another reason that I thought about drastically reducing my posting. I was once the authority for my congregation and it is strange to not help when asked. I must remember that there are much more qualified individuals here.
