Please see the above link about talking or communicating with the dead and the view on this in Islam. This kind of behaviour - be it through ghosts, seances, dreams etc - is prevalent in a lot of today's world and also within some muslim communities or new muslims there is still misunderstanding on this subject.

'One of the explicit teachings of Islam, duly emphasized in the Qur’an and the Sunnah, is that the matters of the unseen world (such as what happens after death or in the future) are in the exclusive realm of Allah, and that no humans can have access to them except in the measure that Allah has allowed it. We are further taught that no one can benefit or harm us but with Allah’s permission, and therefore, we must seek help from no one but Allah — regardless of the status of the person through whom we are appealing. '

so if the dead person contacts you then this quote could mean Allah has allowed it???? Or am i being cheeky :shymuslima1:

If the dead person relates nothing to what has hapened but a very simple message then maybe it is allowed???

Confused....anyone know?
