There is a brother in africa and he asked me about this ''TAREEKATIL TIDJANIYA''. He said that in his place, people talk about this group or whatever and they are not true muslims

So do you know anything about it ?

Walaikkum Assalam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu,

I will say some opinions based upon what I have read about them. The Tareekatil Tidjaniya are people who follow someone named Ahmed Tijani and they follow him as a Messenger (Audhubillah). In their website, they say he is comparable to Muhammad Sallahu Allayhi wassalam (Audhubillah) and they have sufi elements in them like tasawwuf. According to them, they have conditions in Tareekatil Tidjaniya, some of them like one must do the prayers of Tidjaniya (their own way of prayers with some cooked up recitations) and ask intercession of their "Sheikhs" , visualizing image of Tijani.. etc etc (Audhubillah). All these obviously look like shirk.

One thing that we should all bear in mind is that Haqq (the truth) is not tied to any individual, and there are no intermediaries. Haqq is with Qur'an and Sunnah of Muhammad Sallahu Allayhi wassalam.
