Tea for coughing

I got this recipe before from my student from Turkey. She told it is very good for coughing (and ends it by 3 days).

1 cup of hot tea
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon of crushed black pepper

Drink 3 times a day.

Taste terrible but helps for coughing.
