Hello, I am a 20 year old American with a bunch of questions about your religion. To be honest after learning about radical Islam I'm pretty much confused and scared about what this religion teaches. However, through my studies of history I have gained a profound respect for Arabic people. Intelligent, proud, and brave. Anyway on to my questions.
How many different forms of Islam are there?
Do Muslims believe everything in the Quran as true factual word of God?
Are all non-Muslims infidels?
What do Muslims believe about Jesus?
And my last question, after reading what I write below, am I an enemy of Islam?
I currently believe religion is a man-made tool used to control people. I was raised strictly Catholic but I left after learning about the inquisition and how they repressed science throughout the middle ages. I don't comprehend why both Christians and Muslims (some but not all?) take scripture as literal FACT. I am disgusted at past promises of guaranteed paradise during the crusades for Catholics, and equally disgusted at Jihad promises.
I believe that everyone should have a right to follow whatever religion that they desire, as long as they do not harm other people for not following their rules. I believe in the sanctity of life and that no person on this planet should kill another. I believe that both the Bible and Quran are meant to be allegorical teachings. I believe government and religion should be seperate. I believe women are equal to men. I believe that any man or woman that claims one race or ethnic group to be superior to another is ignorant.
I believe that without religion, (meaning without a set of rules that men wrote but claimed God inspired) but still with personal spirituality the world would be much more beautiful and peaceful.
I despise the state of Israel and my government's decision to create and support it. Zionism is causing the world too much pain and should be abolished, Jews can live all over the world in peace, taking the Bible as fact caused all the pain.
I believe that there is some sort of divine creator, not because I fear death but because the pain I feel when I see innocent children get bombed in the Middle East and suffer and die of rare diseases worldwide. I don't like to think that life ends the same way for Saddam Hussein like it does for a 7 year old with cancer.
I believe that God isn't and wasn't ever on earth and all people who claim to have heard his word were lying. People have done absolutely terrible and evil things in the name of God, thinking they were justified.

Thank you very much in advance, and sorry if I offended anyone

I'd also like to add that I believe
God will judge people not on which religion they follow, because religion is 99% due to which region you were born, if I was born in a Muslim country I would have been raised Muslim. God will judge a person's good actions, a person's respect and compassion for his fellow man.

are also preserved in the authentic hadith collections. It is totally possible for Muslims to follow Islam according to these sources.
