The second Palestinian Intifada, which began with former Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon’s visit to al-Aqsa Mosque on Sept. 28 2000, is in its sixth year.

The Israeli human rights group B'Tselem issued a press release detailing the numbers of deaths and injuries in the occupied Palestinian territories over the last six years.

According to B'Tselem figures, since the beginning of the second Intifada, Israeli security forces killed 3,733 Palestinians, including 767 minors, in the occupied Palestinian territories.

Of these, 1,812 did not take part in the hostilities when they were killed, it was reported.

In addition, 208 were the object of a targeted killing list and another 60 Palestinians were killed inside Israel by security forces.

Palestinians have killed 1,011, including 314 members of the Israeli security forces, in the Palestinian territories and inside Israel.
