The age old question, how do we approach Muslims who need guidance?

alf2

Islam is a way of life
This is something I struggle with. Because I wonder, how a person can do certain haraam things and live their life as a "Muslim"

For example, a girl dresses in mini skirts, goes clubbing and drinks alcohol and posts photos of all this. But yet she has the shahaddah in bold.

Do we just leave this alone?
Do we approach her and ask her why she does haraam actions?
What is the best approach?

I often have had Muslims who are more knowledgable than I gently tell me things to improve my deen, and thus my life but I am 100% understanding of this. Some people though, they get angry and say, "Well you sin too! Dont judge me!" They want to live their life and enjoy this dunya and dont want anyone to rain on their party.

What should we do? :tti_sister:

to Allah we belong
:wasalam:,

may Allah reward you for your concern. its all about how strong is the faith!

people with strong faith can overcome any type of trial or temptations (ie fitnah) while whole of weak faith cannot according to their level of iman in Allah and Last Day.

there are many points to take care while advicing:

advicing gently and politely,
advicing in private
appreciating the good deeds (no matter how little it is) which the person do

reminding him/her about Allah's favors and blessings
reminding about pleasures of Jannah and pain of Fire

about the peace in grave or suffereing
about standing for thousands of years on that Day
about shortness and uncertainty of this life
about the goodness of good morals of Islam

and duas of course.....
