I have been using Athan software for a while until I ran into this one. Salaattime it is very complete and is way better than Athan.

  • You can even use your own Athan voice.
  • It has a pre-salaat reminder so u can go to the masjid.
  • It is very accurate to at least my masjid in the USA.
  • It has Hijri and Julian calanders that display side by side.
  • It works very good with XP
  • It will calculate Day, Month, Year
  • It calculates how much time till next prayer
  • It shows the Qibla Direction
  • It has so much more and it is free
  • BarakAllah Feehum

Jazak Allah for the link. I will check it out shortly. When you say Athan Software, are you referring to the one from www.islamicfinder.org? The basic one of that is not bad, Alhamdulillah, we hear the Athan although the mosque is miles away. Its beautiful. But many other features are available in the Pro Version, similar to what you mentioned about SalatTime. If you are not referring to IslamicFinder software, you can ignore my waffle. :)

yes that is the one sorry for not being clear. I used that for many years but never bought the pro version.

That is why I posted this one because mashAllah it is free and has much of what the Athan pro version does. I was amazed at how much this can help with alerting me in advance so that I can go to the masjid on time. It also allowed me to include athan by Mishary Al-Afasy which is nice as well.

http://www.alafasy.com/?PId=2&catId=9 you have to convert to a wav file for it to work though.

b4 i also used the one from islamicfinder but got the one from salaattime last yr.its much better and i loc the reminder function.it is the perfect software for me:D
and u r lucky sister mesbah that u here atleast the athan, m living in a non-muslim community with no mosque, never heard the athan from a mosque for 2yes except when i go back home in ramazan.the ppl say there is a mosque about 45minutes by car from here.but have never seen it.:(
anyways the salaatime software is really gud.the reminders really helps u not to miss anyprayers even if u somtimes miss to hasten the prayers on exact time.i use it effectively by remindingme about 40 minutes b4 each prayer.:)
