Bismillaah.

Assalamu 'alaykum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh.

The Distinguished Student!

Abdullaah ibn Mas'ood (may Allaah be pleased with him) said:

The one who memorizes the Qur'aan must be known

by his nights when the people are sleeping,

by his days when the people are eating,

by his sadness when the people are rejoicing,

by his crying when the people are laughing,

by his silence when the people are chatting away,

and by his humility when the people are boasting.

An-Nawaee collected in At-Tibyaan.

I took this hadeeth which i saw in ALBaseerah.Org and there it said that this hadeeth was used as a great reminder posted
on the wall of the lecture room in makkah during the Umar Ibnul Khattab educational seminar in Augest 2006.

May Allaah (The Most High) make us all among the distinguished student,
Allaahuma aameen.

Where are the distinguished students?

Salaam Alykom Brothers and sisters,

this is my first contribution to this fantastic forum, may Allah guide us all and reward us all inshallah.

As Muslims, we are very privileged to have the opportunity to seek knowledge for the sake of Allah and to receive rewards on the effort in this life and in the hereafter. The greatest gift that Allah bestows upon us is that we are part of the Ummah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

I pray to Allah that our Muslim student will learn Islam and their Deen in addition to their university education. It’s very disappointing when you hear Muslim students recognizing all the celebrities; what they like or dislike, they know everything about their lives and every aspect of it, but they know nothing about the life of our Prophet peace be upon him and his companions. Some will tell you that Islam is not just a religion; it’s a way of life. However, they choose and pick which part they want to take or implement in every day life. If you had the chance to go to pray in congregation any time of the day, you will be lucky to find few but comes Friday and you hardly find a space.

I supplicate to Allah that he will guide our educated Muslims to the right path and reminding them that they will be questioned about their knowledge in the judgment day.
May Allah help us all to become true Muslims.
