The human view of medicine in Islam 1

who strive hard
السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

This will be the human dimension, and respect for human rights in general,

and to strive to alleviate the suffering and pain and embarrassment for

whatever this man, whatever the suffering ..

It was no surprise to the Muslim doctors to pay attention to the human

view in their dealings with the patient, because the laws of Islamic

legislation speaks to this ethical approach unique .. Islam is seen as a

human patient in crisis, and then needed someone to stand next to him, and

takes his hand and raises the spirits and calm the magnificence, and relieve

the physical pain, as well as the moral ...

Therefore find that the Islamic legislation seeks to raise critical for the

patient when the disease in every way, and reduce the burden it to the

fullest extent .. patients have license not to fast, people hampered by ill

health for the Hajj (pilgrimage) don`t perform it and that happens no sins ..

As the patient who can not perform prayer in its natural state was given a

license to pray in conditions suit him in sitting or sleeping, or even with his

own eyes!

And the patient who can not do either the water ablution (wudu`) or

tayammum ablution for one reason or another, to pray without any of them

Even in times of jihad for the sake of God is to relieve the patient

and there is no sin on him, and God says: "There is no restriction on the

blind, nor any restriction on the lame, nor any restriction on the sick..... ".

Indeed, Islamic law not only to lift some of the assignments, and licensing of

worship and obligations , but strongly urge to stand next to the patient,

and raise the spirits, to the maximum degree and the prophet Mohammad

(SAAW) told us the visiting patients in clinics, hospitals, houses and either

place where they exist is all Muslims` duty. as he said as narrated by

Muslim from Abu Hurayrah may Allah be pleased with him:" Muslim do six

duties for another Muslim ...
" and he (SAAW) mentioned "to be visited if he

fall sick
" and make paradise for those who share a sick person, he said as

narrated by Ibn Majah from Abu Hurayrah:" who visits sick man is called from

the heaven by an angel that say " you and your walking steps was blessed

and you was given your position in the paradise ".

The prophet (SAAW) told us to remind the good with the sick and raise the

spirits and usually give hope to him in healing and longevity whatever his

age or his status it was narrated by Ibn Majah in his Sunan from the

hadeeth of Abu Sa'eed said :" when you visit patient Raise the sense of

longevity and recovering from illness and that does not change anything

but affects the patient well
".

The prophet (SAAW) brings the spirit of the patient to the sky when he tells

him that this disease is the expiation for his sinsand patience is a matter of

survival in the afterlife as Al-Bukhaari narrated from Abu Hurayrah may ALLAH

be pleased with him, the prophet said: " Whatever hurts Muslim such as

illness ,weakness, sadness, depression, worry and any harm, even a thorn

that pricks him but ALLAH will expiate his sins by it"

Also says as narrated from Anas, may Allah be pleased with him: "God

Almighty said:" If I afflicted patient Bhabibte ( with his eyes) I will give him

the paradise in exchange
" . and so increase the morale of the insured

patient to the sky, do not feel that he is as incapable person in society,

but everyone cares about and sponsors.

This was not the Islamic view not only for Muslims but anyone who was

sick, whatever the religion, in keeping with the verse: "We have honored the

sons of Adam ....".

Man is honored in general, so take care of him while his illness, and

treated him if he complained .. The prophet (SAAW) visited a sick Jewish

boy andthat was nartted by al-Bukhaari in

special chapter in his Saheeh called : mushrik clinic.

This spirit, the noble Muslim doctors deal with their patients, so the high-end

medical service provided to patients in the Islamic state without distinction

between rich or poor, Arab or non-Arab, black or white, and

governed by the Governor, or a Muslim or non-Muslim .. In many cases, the

treatment is free for all .. The patients enjoy the same level of service

whatever their level.
