:salam2: Brothers and sisters here are the main principles
of an islamic government that were used by the leaders or the khulafa urashidin in the past and the Tabi'een who came after them such as the just leader umar ibn abdulaziz.
1. Judicial Branch
Title: Qadi system
Qualifications: Muslim, male or female well grounded in the principles of fiqh and shari'ah.
Selected: Appointed by the Khalifah in consultation with the majlis.
Job: To dispense justice, to make decisions about legal issues and to rule on the actions of the khalifah and the majlis. A council of fiqh scholars may advise
2. Executive Branch
Title: Khalifah and Amirul mu'mineen.
Qualification: Muslim, male over 40 year old, of good standing and recognised knwoldege and abilty.
Selected: Chosen by vote of either the people directly or by the representatives.
Job: To implement the sharia'h, manage affairs of government and lead the ummah in all its political affairs.
Term: Can be life or a set period. shura determines this time period. Un-islamic behaviour is grounds for removal or impreachment.
3. Representative Branch
Title: Majlis as shura.
Qualifications: A body if elected representatives chosen by the community.
Can be male or female, msut be Muslim and of recognised knowledge and ability.
Selected: By vote.
Job: To advice the khalifa, to represent teh people, to approve or disapprove of teh leader's decisions and to remove him from office if he deviates from the shria'ah.
Imagine if all these rules and principles were ruled in the muslim countries how powerful Islam would be. May Allah make the muslim leaders who rule by the sharia'ah and may Allah better the muslim ummah.
