I hope you all are in good health and in improving stage of iiman. This is something I found and thus wanted to discuss with my loving brothers and sisters.

The Key to Attract an Amazing Spouse

The key to attract an amazing spouse is to nurture in yourself those qualities that appeal to a person of that standard.

Many of us pine for the perfect spouse--realize he or she does not exist. Pick the best you can find, and learn to live with and cover their warts and weaknesses.

Set your criteria (based on the hadith of the Prophet, peace be upon him)--have they memorized the Qur'an? Do they speak Arabic? Do they pray Tahajjud (middle-of-the-night prayer) once a week?--then ask yourself what a person of those qualities would like in a spouse, and instill those qualities into yourself.

And always double-check your intention to make sure your actions are to please Allah alone.

When you succeed, bi ithnillah, they will seek you out.

May Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) make us all among those who uphold the deen to the highest standard and take it to new heights.

I'm a little naive. Being a convert for only a year and living in a place where there are perhaps only 2 muslims in the community, i have been praying that God would send me the ideal husband. Should i search?

Unless you want a husband now, then you dont necessarily need to search, (that's the man's job :lol but you could keep an eye out.

Just pray that Allah (SWT) sends you someone pious.

Yes, Sister Fran, you should put a word out. Let the Imam at the masjid know that you are looking, and also let any friends that you may have or aquaintances know as well. Often women will be overlooked, plus as a revert, you may not be known in the community.


May Allah make this easy for you sister Fran and reward you with a pious and loving husband. Ameen!
