The Market of Jannah‏

Allah’s Messenger (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “In Jannah there is a street to which they (the inhabitants of Jannah) will come every Friday. The north wind will blow and will scatter fragrance on their faces and on their clothes. This will add to their beauty and loveliness. Then they will go back to their family after having an added luster to their beauty and loveliness, and their family will say to them, ‘By Allah, you have been increased in beauty and loveliness after leaving us.’ They (the ones who had been scattered with fragrance) will say, ‘By Allah, you have also increased in beauty and loveliness after us.’” [Muslim]

The markets of the world are such that one returns tired, disheveled, hot and dirty – in general, in a worse shape than that in which they set out. A trip to the market of Jannah, on the other hand, will not decrease but increase a person’s appeal, looks, and well being. When they return they will find their family members, likewise, also having increased in loveliness

Prophet Muhammad (SALLALLAHU ALAIHI WASALLAM) said that a caller will call out in Paradise when people enter it: “Indeed may you be healthy and never be sick again, may you live and never die again, may you be young and never grow feeble again, may you enjoy, and never feel sorrow and regret again.”

Reported by Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri (RA): The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “There was a dispute between Hell and Jannah, and Hell said: `The haughty and proud are in me.’ The Jannah said: `In me are the weak and the humble.’ Thereupon Allah, the Exalted, judged between them saying: `You the Jannah are My Mercy, and through you I shall show mercy to those whom I wish.’ (And addressing the Hell) He said: `You are My punishment to punish whom I wish amongst My slaves, and each one of you will have its fill.”
