This story starts when the prophet Ibrahim had left his wife and son Ismail in the barren lands of Bakkah
(Now known as Makkah)on the command of Allah.
The wife of the prophet, Hajjar, and Ismail were very thirsty as
they had run out of water and food.
Hajjar ran between the mountainms of safa and marwa looking for any sign of water or another person.
However she soon spotted an angel and spring of water by Ismails feet.Hajjar called the water zamzam and was now able to grow food.
Not very long afterwards a tribe called Banu Jarham arrived and decided to stay with Hajjar and Ismail.
When Ibrahim returned for his wife and child he found a happy and peaceful village and was amzed when
he heard Hajjar story.
Allah (SWT) still wanted to test Ibrahim and so gave him a very hard task, to sacrifce his only child. When Hajjar and Ismail
found out about this they accepted as Allah had commanded it.
When Ibrahim was about to kill Ismail an angel came and said your sacrfice has been accepted and instead of killing your son kill this sheep instead.

Muslim should remember this as a lesson and thank
Allah and ask Him to accept our sacrifices aswell. Allah never burdens a sole with more than it can bear, so we should thank Allah all the time that when Allah tests us it is not as hard as the Prophet Ibrahims task. For when we look at this story, it makes you think the Prophet had the imaan to sacrfice his son and yet we cant even do the little things in life without complaining or wishing that Allah had not made this happen to us.
