Salaam,

I write this with a heavy heart. I have read and participated in a thread. We blame the kuffir for being ignorant; we need to stop. We, Muslims, have allowed our children to put the life-style of the kuffir before ours. It is so unfortunate for the sake of our ummath. As I read the responses to the post dedicated to the Seminary killings, I was stunned. I need to write that I am not a proponent of violence. What I wish to concentrate on is the miseducation of our youth. We often wonder what has become of our ummath. One reasonable answer seems to be our youth are growing up without an understanding of Muslim history. The constructs of the east; west; colonialism, captialism as contrasted to the reality of Islam seem to have become dominant. We thus have a generation that is unsure of our common past. The fiber that keeps the ummath together is unraveling. We need to dedicate ourselves to relearning our history. We need to gain a sense of purpose. Thus, I ask my knowledgeable brothers and sister to write a post that is well documented to help us correct the untruths making our youth free; and see the Truth. I pray this makes sense, Insha'Allah this will touch the hearts of my brothers and sisters.

Honestly speaking I dont believe in any such kind of an event after the 9/11 and 7/7 exposed.

If they did 9/11 then who can give assurity that they will not do more FALSE FLAG ATTACKS like that.

Even if it was a work of Muslims then I think its more a REACTION then an Islamic thing .If a person's family is killed then he might try to take his revenge.

We ve seen in case of tamil tigers of srilanka. They were the pioneers of suicide bombings.

wow,

i havnt read posts for a while and when i finally got a chance all i got were posts with people eating at each other! what happened to the posts about respecting other people on the forum and to think before you jump out with irrational responses? think before you speak!

I agree that we need to learn more about our religion and how far it has come. (me included) And it seems that everything that Mirajmom and others have been stressing were not understood because there seems to be people still typing with anger instead of using their minds.:girl3:

So before you reply to a post make sure your not in a psychotic state and that your calm, and that you understand the whole picture.

I apologize if i have upset anyone and if my post doesnt make much sense but this is how i feel.

I am too saddened by these atrocities, and I will make every effort on my behalf to post as men educational, informative posts about our Islamic history and heritage.

We have to make our youth realise that Islam is an honour that has been given to us with the Mercy of Allah (SWT). We must make them see the beauty of Islam and the sheer priviledge of being able to say "I am a Muslim" but with this is a neccessity to also teach our youth that by being Muslim Allah (SWT) has given us a certain Ammanat, and only through fulfilling that Ammanat are we then able to reach the honour that Allah (SWT) has waiting for us...

Insha'Allah our people will understand, the greatness that has been bestowed on us with Allah (SWT's) grace and Mercy.

miraj mom: yeah we dont know our history. I have seen the there is hardly any post in history section.
We have to very choosy when reading history a there are racist historians, who have posed muslims as roberers.

I would love to write some thing on al-andalus. The achivement made by the muslims in those 8 years. Ah! andalus where r u?

Salaam,

It's truly disturbing and shocking to find some of my own brothers and sisters who put non-Muslims ahead of Muslims and support Zionism and its terrorist state. If a few Muslims on TTI are like this then think of it globally. This is alarming for me. I'm emotionally hurt. It's the system they live under that should be held accountable. It has oppressed them spiritually & intellectually. I urge my brothers and sisters to make sure we post historical events of Islam and Muslims. The youth depend on us.

To clarify, any comment I made was NOT in support of what the Israel government is doing/has done or their zionist ideals. What I meant to bring to light is one life, to me, is just as important as another. If you fight a fight keep it amongst military, not civilians. That should go BOTH ways. 2 wrongs do not make a right. And as Muslims, we are supposed to be above doing what they do, right? I am a new muslim and I have very idealistic views of things......to me, I believe in one HUMANITY, ONE WORLD, ONE PEOPLE AND ONE GOD! If a man came in and killed my child or husband and then killed himself, I would not go to his home and kill his family in retaliation....that is what separates us and criminals! I wish, for the sake and future of my children and their children, that ALL NATIONS realize that we have to unite and respect the other. I would like to see other nations step up and push Israel back and give them a CLEAR CONCISE and UNITED message. I read before on another thread why doesn't the Arab/Muslim nations around Israel step up their forces to it's borders and protect Palestinians? And if all muslims are really so concerned about the Palestinian people, then why have I read that in their surrounding countries, where they have seeked refuge are treated like poor trash and not given opportunities to support themselves in their new homes? I see a lot of Pro-Palestinian rhetoric and not a lot of action. So I ask of the Ummah, if you really don't care, why should the world?

Forgive me if I have upset anyone, but I call it as I see it. Talk gets you nowhere, and violence perpetuates violence. May those Arab nations around Palestine grow some kahunas and step up to serve and protect them.

Sister...I would like to add that in my humble opinion:

1. There are no civillians in Israel because all of them have go through compulsary militarty training...I might be wrong in this though...Allaahu'Aalam!

2. And the "school" in question doesn't seem to be an innocent "school"
because...Quotes from BBC:
The fact that the school is at the heart of the settler movement in the occupied West Bank may have been the reason why it was targeted, BBC Middle East editor Jeremy Bowen says.

Many of its students are on special courses that combine religious study with service in combat units in the Israeli army.

And also, please see below also from BBC.

A student reportedly shot the gunman twice before an off-duty Israeli army officer killed him.

Is it allowed to attack a military school in Islaaam?

Allaahu'Aalam!

I am not arguing that as I had not heard that. What I am saying is for everyone who cries for Palestine to do something rather than just throw out words......force your goverments to get off their rears in those territories.

As sister Diane said, violence perpetuates violence.

Maybe today's Muslims need to take some cues from modern non-violent rights movements - Ghandi, Martin Luther King, Jr, Rosa Parks, and the Black students in the US (who, during the height of the civil rights movement, went to schools and sat and did nothing while they were being spit upon, beaten, and abused). Their peace protests and sit-ins and such methods are not against Islam in an way that I can figure, and look what they were able to accomplish without hurting or killing their oppressors?

When I talk with my friends, it seriously this fact - most people I know don't give a hoot that Palestinians are being killed AND don't give a hoot that Israelis are being killed mostly because, as the saying goes, "In a mud fight, everyone gets dirty." - when each side keeps killing each other back and forth and back and forth, it is hard to sympathize with either side (I am talking about people who have no vested interest in either party).

Diane is also right - what are the Muslim nations doing to help? I am not talking about violence and war; I am talking about offering their assistance in negotiations (why is it Egypt and the US negotiating a lot of peace between Israel & Palestine? I am sure there is a reason steeped in history, but why aren't the Muslim countries more actively involved?). Why are they not taking in orphans and widows? The US giving an average of $85 million dollars in aid to Palestine each year - what are the Muslim countries doing? I would really like to know, so if you have numbers, please post them.

And, just in a grand sense, the World belongs to Allah, yet so many wars all over the world, all throughout history, have been over land. What a pathetic excuse to kill people!! And, yes, I know something about losing land unjustly - my parent's house is on 2 acres and the state is just taking almost half of it to put a road through - they are getting a small compensation, but it is ruining the value of my dad's house, so the compensation they get is not equitable.

In the long run, Muslims (and I am not just talking about those in the countries directly surrounding the area, ie, the Middle East) need to be more involved in helping Palestinians - take in the orphans, participate openly in negotiations, offer aid, and actively help. Muslims helping Muslims, instead of killing anyone.

My humble thoughts and opinions...

Thank you so much for supporting my point of view and backing with numbers.

It comes down to this....they all want to seem pious and sincere about palestinians, but at the end of the day.......what have they done? NOTHING.

jz a thing we all know what the egyptian presidents real face is ......n the US giving palestine $85 million?...lol thats for mahmood abbas to kill hamas not for the palestinians.....i mean has the us ever helped any country without dynamites attached to it...like pakistan is getting billions of dollars from the US not for the people but for the army ....this results in only 1 thing conflict between ourselves...they finance our wars n then sit on top n talk bout peace...wat hypocrisy.....

"In a mud fight everyone gets dirty."......what mud fight...why dont the jews go bak to europe n take their land...it was the palestinians that took in the jews as a good gesture after WW2 n then they boot them from their own country....this is jz like if i was ur friend and ask u to let me live with u cause i dont have money n then one day u come bak n the locks of the door have changed....then u call for help that ur house has been overtaken n the whole world starts caliing u a terrorist ....i mean i think im jz too stupid to understand smart people...jz my opinion....

*actions speak louder than words*

I heard dr zakir naik say that if u r being oppressed n u know u can fight bak but u dont then u r at fault too.....so sum it up urself cause 8 isnt equal too over 200 or do u need a calculator

why dont muslim nations help?....cause the people on top of our countries have already killed the voice of justice n only hypocrisy runs on the face of the earth!.....there r only some countries such as the Islamist somalian fighters that have come out to show that there is still hope n always will b!!

jz my crazy opinion which might b really hard to accept :confused:

podolski has written thet truthn in last paragraph.

There are many islamic countries but they dont have true islamic leaders. That is the main reason of not helping palestine. If u help them, they will arrest u and ur family. Thats will it. U know these secret services

Salaam,

I need to correct a minor misconception. Rosa Parks was not the woman who sat down. She even admitted that. And Rosa Parks has nothing to do with any Islamic issues. Why do you always use Martin Luther King...he was selected by white America because he was a womanizing milquetoast. Most Pan Africian memebers would not talk to him. He was a puppet.

We do not need non-Muslim leaders to show Muslims what to do. It becomes insulting after a while. We have examples from our own. Nothing that the west has done can help us...they can not be trusted.

War is in the nature of man. Some war is good. We all know that. WWI? WWII?
We can not be milquetoast.
