The World....

AleahKoto

Allah will decide
I never saw anyone as just as the world. As long as you pursue the world it will pursue you, but when you turn away from it and seek God, it will leave you alone and its glamour shall no longer fascinate you.

-Al-Hujwiri, "The Kashf al-Mahjub"

Just thought I would share that, it is very true.....

“La illaha ill Allah, Muhammadur Rasul Allah”

The first part of the 'shahada' already explains a lot. Everything we do should be for Allah. Our actions, our interest, our direction in life, etc. Once in a while, the devil will try to tempt us into worldly temptations, and that is when we will have to truly control ourselves and remember our promise and agreement to God, our shahada.

During the Prophet Muhammad's time (peace and blessings be upon him), the Prophet and his companions fought many battles. One such battle was the Battle of Uhud. In this battle, a great number of Muslims were killed.
A companion of the Prophet asked," Oh Messenger of Allah, is there a greater battle than this?"
The Prophet answered, "Yes there is, the battle against one's self (nafs)."
