Allah is sufficient.
Indeed all praise is due to Allah, and as such we should praise Him. Man survives by breathing Allah's air, yet he complains of poverty. Man survives by drinking His water, yet he complains of He hasn't given him as much as he needs to survive. Shut your door for at least one hour today and reflect on the Mercy of Allah in the last one year.
For one, He kept you alive to this day. Many had died in crashes, on sick beds, some murdered - those who we hold in high esteem and are powerful. Politicians, Traditional rulers, Big time industrialists, Academicians, children. They didn't do anything wrong, and Allah was not punishing them. Their assigned time of probation has just ended.
Your probational time has not ended and that's why you are still here today. Shouldn't you then be thankful. Even if your ambition was to get yourself a plot of land, a new car, a new spouse, a child or whatever you desired, and you didn't realise your dream, you should still be thankful. It could be worse.
The more you think about Allah's Blessings, the more you realise you dont have to sit and brood. More than ever before it's time for you to do a stocktaking of Allah's blessings and really thank Him.
