thinking about the muslims in palestine.

practically, everyday i see or read about the terrible things that are happening to my muslim brothers and sisters in the land of palestine. the conditions that they are in are horrible. they are treated no differently than a stray dog. checkpoints, curfews and other obstacles. these things only cause despair and hopelessness in human beings. we muslims are aware of the horrors taking place in palestine. some of us muslims care and there are some of those muslims couldn’t care less.

i used to be one of those muslims that couldn’t care less. but when my love for islam just kept growing, the love that i have for my muslim brothers and sisters just kept on growing even for the muslims outside of my masjid. when i really took the time to listen to palestinians tell their stories or see the horrific photos of things happening to them over there. i couldn’t help but becoming upset.

i am upset because they’re up against a ruthless enemy in the Israeli government. i say government because it’s their government’s policy to treat palestinians this way. then i began to think about those muslims that don’t even care. i’m thinking about those muslim nations that don’t even care. i’m also thinking about my very own nation, a nation that’s supposed to be the face of human rights; America.

this a land that houses our 3rd holiest site. those brothers and sisters over there are guarding this site. being attacked inside this site by israeli soldiers. how can we go so long without raising our voices against these injustices? how can we avoid going to the masjid, when these people are risking their lives just by going to a masjid? how could we change our names from Muhammad to Steve when we have muslims dying because they’re proud to be named after the messenger of Allah SWT? how can you throw away all of your left over food from breaking the fast during ramadan, when you have brothers in palestine that feel like they never broke the fast because they didn’t have anything to break the fast with?

so what am i saying that we do? i’m not saying that we should do something violent or anything. i’m not saying join their army, give tons of money etc. i’m saying that we should all keep them in our du’a. that Allah SWT make things easy for them and provide for them, for He is the best of providers.

With a ViSA card you should not have a problem, GBP or USD.
