salam alaykum wa rahmatullah wabarakatu,

The scholars are careful to answer such sort of a question and they have it from the quran, sunnah and the understandings of best generations so that people understand the right matter.

Allah tabarak wa taala says in quran -

1. Say (O Muhammad: "He is Allah, (the) One.
2. "Allah-us-Samad (The Self-Sufficient Master, Whom all creatures need, He neither eats nor drinks).
3. "He begets not, nor was He begotten;
4. "And there is none co-equal or comparable unto Him."

-‘Surah Al-Ikhlas’

That is clear. we keep faith in what Allaah subhanahu wa ta’ala say about Himself, His attributes from the sources of Quran and sunnah with proper interpretations.

The treatises of sunni Imams explain the matters in a way it is. I’m afraid if Dr Zakir resorted his own explainations to meet the standard of the questioner. By answering in such a fashion the same question can be answered again with certain different explainations .After reading many scholars speaking over the same subject people we can realize the care, the minuteness considered by them before they talk of religion.
No doubt Dr zakir’s speech increases people’s interest. The listeners from other religion have understood it well than before.I heard him in 2001-2002 on topics - Islam vs terrorism and Islam is peace, unsure if the titles are right..that increased my enthuthiasm.

Salaam alaikum.
