Assalaamu Alaykum brothers and sisters.
I'm new to this website and the first thing that caught my eye was this Islamic poetry section. I look forward to reading all the poems Inshallah. My sister has written a few short poems and she let me post them up. So just let me know what you think of this one

On whom do we rely on, on whom do we depend?
Some of us do not see the rightful way
May Allah guide those of us gone astray
On this Earth we come, we go
Some do good, some sink quite low
Some do turn right and on the Deen
Ask forgiveness, for now they’ve seen
I pray for very Muslim listening to me
From the Shaitaan’s trap set us free
What Allah commands we must do
And Heaven we will go to
Our Lord, our Creator we must obey
‘la illaha ilallah’ we must all say.
On whom do we rely on, on whom do we depend?
Some of us do not see the rightful way
