The global outcry against the Israeli government's assault on the flotilla of aid ships is starting to work. The Israeli government has announced small changes to the rules on the Gaza blockade. Aid agencies like Oxfam are warning that "this is not enough" and that a full lifting of the blockade is still "urgently needed". [1]
By making tiny steps in the right direction, the Israeli government hopes it can get the rest of the world to drop the pressure. We need to make sure that isn't what happens. Together we need to push our Foreign Secretary, William Hague, to keep pressing the Israeli government until the blockade is lifted.
Tell William Hague to keep up the pressure now we've got signs that it's working - write to him in 2 minutes, here:

The Israeli government PR machine wants to convince the world that they've done enough. But for tens of thousands of Gazans, living in poverty and without proper healthcare or education, tiny changes to the rules just aren't anywhere near enough. We need to act fast to make sure we don't lose momentum for a real lifting of the blockade.
Newspapers are saying that it's the global outcry that has made the Israeli government start to budge. [2] 38 Degrees members have played a crucial role, making sure our own government spoke up. Now let's get back in touch with the government and make it clear we expect them to keep up the pressure.
