فَتَبَارَكَ اللَّهُ أَحْسَنُ الْخَالِقِينَ
Assalamualaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Baraktuh

I pray to Almighty Allah that this reaches you in the best state of health and Insha Allah inclined in Islamic spirits.
I am a student, living in Australia, studying Journalism. I must mention that I enjoy it immensely and encourage you, also, to choose a career path where we can together eliminate the bias and racist perspective portrayed to the masses of Islam, in particular the Asian and Middle Eastern World.
Everyday, I am faced with many opportunities to answer questions and clarify misconceptions that many youth around my age group have towards this Divine Deen. I would also like to mention, that, when I have the opportunity to choose a topic of interest on presentation, I lean towards an Islamic Discussion. This time, however, I have chosen to talk about and deconstruct the question: Are Muslims, Arabs and people of Middle Eastern backgrounds being portrayed accurately in the media?Where upon I am required to give examples in relation to history and the current situation. I am also expected to discuss the use of the word 'terrorist' in Australian news reports and media as a whole.
You may wonder why I am informing you of my university assessments. The reason is because I have full certainty that my Brothers and Sisters, whether Muslim or not, are, in one way or another, of help, and thus, I came here, of all places, first and foremost. I, however, have no intentions of getting my assessment completed by my TTI Brothers and Sisters. It is an opportunity to express my views on the way we are portrayed, so I considered the valuable views of the members here also.
Despite the fact that my assessment is due in May, I am posting this so I can get all the research and help and also kill those excited nerves within me. My assessment comprises of an oral component and a written argumentative essay based on the topic. I have set out my assessment so far in dot points and drafted the main concepts of misunderstanding. I hereby am requesting, that if you were expected to submit and present an assessment of this sort, what are the main concepts and points you will wish to discuss with your fellow peers who remain in the darkness created by media worldwide?
I look forward to your ideas, views and the way you would pull this question apart. I leave you now in the care of the One Almighty Protector, to keep you happy, safe and successful always.
Your Sister, Mesbah.
