IM SO CONFUSED!!!

ok i spent a lot of time at www.islamqa.com to figure out what is haraam and what is not...
so well clearly in the sunnah and Quran we are told not to be picture-makers or try to imitate Allah's creations...
i understand that, and clearly the TV is based on moving PICTURES so i get that...
BUT
what about Islamic lectures? we see the lecturer on screen dont we? yes most ppl said that islamic videos are ok... but wasnt picture-making forbidden as a whole? because these exceptions seem to be manmade? anyhow, i love islamic lectures and videos thats why im very concerned lol
and also, seeing videos about animals etc.. that depict Allah's great creations... that's when SubhanAllah is the only phrase running through your mind you know... so wouldn't that be ok too? but then again... it's creating pictures soo... arghhhhhhhhh
