before drinking from popcan. wash the top part before drink. not only popcan please wash what ever you you eat (fruit, vegetable or any other product) before put into the mouth and always wash hand before eat. and also when came from outside wash hand before touching anything in home.

There was another case a few years where a woman in India died from viral pneumonia caused by the same virus. Warehouses that stores these canned beverages are infested with mice and rats. The virus is found in the feces of such vermin. If they leave their feces on the cans, those cans must be washed completely before opening. But it should not be limited to only cans. I encourage everyone to wash everything from fruits, vegetables, to canned food and beverages.
